Chad and I discussed a lot of "themes" and ideas we had about how our special day would look. We talked about our love for Hawaii and riding our bikes around, and tried to come up with things that really felt like us. After a long afternoon of brainstorming about food to accompmnay all these different possible concepts, a lightbulb went of: BREAKFAST! Chad and I love breakfast food. Chad often makes us french toast and omletes on my lunch break or as a late night snack.






So we are having a BRUNCH wedding!!! It will be so yummy. Breakfast foods, coffee and mimosas!!





I'm so excited to incorparate something that is such a part of our world into such a special day!

A few weeks ago Chad and I found the perfect venue. And after some number crunching and confirming with some other important people, we landed on a date!

We are so excited to really start unveiling a lot of details that are coming together.

 But, be sure to mark your calender because we are going to have such a wonderful afternoon!

We Have Bridesmaids!

Trot out the Ladies...

 This is Sarah. We became friends in the 10th grade, sharing our love for the Backstreet Boys. Over the last 13 years, we have shared so much more. She is my go to road trip buddy (especially if there is a concert involved) and will sit and watch Gilmore Girls with me ad nauseum. She is not only my friend, she is my family.






Coli and I hit it off from the moment we met. With her spunky attitude and love of outdoor activities, we are always guaranteed a good time. Our first camping  trip sealed our love for each other. She is a wife, mother and woman I hope to model myself after. I'm so lucky to have her in my life and call her a friend.

Meet Miss Iris. She is the one I have known the longest. Since our middle school days, she has seen me through the worst clothes, the baddest boys and definitely the best parties! She has always been there for me. Our love of cider and all things crafty will give us plenty of good times ahead!







Holly is my wifey, my best friend, and my Maid of Honor. She is the best "best friend" a girl could ask for. Through the good and bad, she has stuck to my side, and I to hers. My life would be empty without this amazing woman. I'm so thankful that no matter what happens, I know she'll be on my side!

    We all met yesterday at Top This Yogurt on R Street so I could formally ask them to be my bridesmaids. All of them said YES! I'm so excited to have these girls share my special day with me. I could not imagine a better group.

Look out wedding world...we're a commin'!!

Wedding Planning 101

WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!

And we want to share our journey of planning this wedding with you! I'm going to be posting all kinds of wedding goodies. There will be updates, pictures of our venue, decoration idea's and all sorts of inspiration.

We have a lot of friends and family who don't live close and can't always spend an hour on the phone with me while I recap our venue search or my color scheme. So this will be a way to engage all the special people in our lives in our plans.
